Wrought Iron

The term "wrought iron" might be conjuring images of the Eiffel Tower, but you can add that same beautifully structured awe to your home.  The word "wrought" is an archaic form of the word "to work," so "wrought iron" actually means "worked iron".  Pieces of ornamental worked iron can be used on fireplaces and doors to add refinement and beauty.      Below are two fireplace covers with rich detail that show magnificently against the glow of a fire.         Here, entire doors are fashioned, one with only wrought iron that leads into a wine room and the other combined with glass into the wood frame of the door to a home office.       Reminiscent of speakeasy days, a wrought iron grate covering a closable window on a front door adds character and style.      As always, when designing a home with McCullough Design Development, the possibilities don't end there!  Add wrought irons fences,

Cabanas

Cabanas are structures that provide shade and refuge on a scorching summer day and can be a great addition to a pool area. In San Diego, where the weather is practically perfect year round, you might as well take advantage of the out doors.  Cabanas can be built with endless options!  Add walls, curtains or just keep it open and breezy.  Put in a private bathroom and shower, a wet bar with bar stools, or fill it with lounge chairs or patio funiture for comfortable dining.  When you build a custom home with McCullough Design Development, we design and build a home that suits your needs and lifestyle.  For more information on building a home with MDD, visit our website at www.mddhomes.com !
