Tips on making a house a Home

What makes a house a home?  In recent years the definition has shifted away from formality to comfort.
Pictured below is a great room with plenty of seating, from an oversized sofa to padded dining room chairs or bar stools.  Solid Wood flooring adds a rich look while the carpeting is soft and inviting.

A home needs to be as welcoming as it is beautiful.
Here, rich, warm colors and seating that can be easily rearranged attribute to a welcoming, versatile room.

Every room should function effortlessly.

Furniture should be scaled to suit the space and often times needs to be versatile and flexible.
In a small space like a bedroom, it is important for it to look cozy and yet uncluttered.  Choose pieces that fit the size of the room and open up the space like these upholstered open-arm chairs.
