We just had a long holiday weekend and I know I saw A LOT of visitors! Everyone was coming from the east to get out of the rotten cold weather! It still baffles my mind that San Diego can be 80 degrees in January and February. With this perfect weather, there is no better way to enjoy it that in an outdoor veranda room.
A perfect combination of nature and comfort - the veranda room brings a little of the indoors outside and a little of the outdoors inside!
Let's look a little closer at it...
First of all, we have a lift-and-slide disappearing door that slides into the wall to create a seamless entry. This makes entertaining a breeze by doubling the entertainment area without disrupting the traffic flow from inside to out.
This veranda room takes the same tile that was used in the interior of the home all the way through the covered patio (bringing the inside outside) and the stone veneer walls and large, unobstructed openings lend to an outdoor feeling (bringing the outdoors in). We also have wood beam ceilings extending the span of the room adding to the rustic appeal. This area is equipped with ceiling fans and heaters, incase the temperature does need some adjusting!
An outdoor built-in BBQ makes cooking and eating outside easy as...chicken kabobs. Several sets of doors lead into the home for easy access to the kitchen, dining room, and pantry.
This door next to the BBQ leads directly into the Butler's pantry where there is a second refrigerator and sink.
This veranda room has the television and fireplace situated between two large openings to enjoy the views surrounding the home.
